Do you sell gift certificates?

What if the weather is bad?

Our tour operates regardless of weather conditions, the Yarra Valley is beautiful every day of the year. When the weather is nice we will attempt to spend time outside to enjoy the surrounds and when it is not so good we will have you dry and warm in the winery

Can I eat on the bus?

Government legislation prohibits the consumption of food on a public bus. We request that passengers refrain from consuming food on board the bus

Can I drink on the bus?

It is illegal to consume alcohol in a moving vehicle in the state of Victoria and in accordance with this we do not permit alcohol to be consumed on our vehicles. We request that passengers refrain from consuming beverages on board the bus with the exception of water – which we strongly encourage

Do you have any accommodation packages?

We certainly do! We have two wonderful accommodation packages to choose from. If you’d prefer to experience the Yarra Valley, our Luxury Yarra Valley overnight tour may be to your liking, otherwise you may prefer our Western Victoria Ultimate Food and Wine Escape.

Do you offer pick up from the Yarra Valley?

If you are staying in the Yarra Valley we can meet you at Punt Road Wines which is the first winery we visit and we will return you there at the conclusion of your tour. There is ample free parking there all day.

Do you offer any concessions?

Our tour is priced to give everyone excellent value for money and unfortunately there is no scope for concessions

Are discounts available for groups?

Our daily public tour is designed for smaller groups or people travelling by themselves, the maximum group booking size we accept is 8 Passengers. Our tours are excellent value for money and already offer you the best possible price so there is no discount for group bookings. Can I bring my luggage?

Whilst our vehicles are roomy and comfortable they are built for day touring, our vehicles do not have luggage storage facilities, any luggage must be small enough to sit at your feet or on your lap

Do I need to bring anything?

Our tour is fully inclusive so you only need to bring yourself

Do you have a toilet on board the bus?

Our buses are not equipped with toilets and there is no opportunity to stop along the way or on the return trip so please use facilities prior to boarding

How far is it to the Yarra Valley?

It is just over 50kms from Melbourne Central business district and takes approximately 1 hour

Do you cater for Wheelchairs?

Passenger Access – AWTC utilize 24 seat touring vehicle, 3 steps onto narrow coach isle.

Vehicles – We offer small coach touring utilizing 24 seat vehicles to provide intimate group touring. Vehicle aisle must be kept clear at all times and guests are to remain seated whilst in transit. We are unable to carry luggage or other items that cannot fit within the passengers paid seated area.

Venues – Good easy access to all cellar doors however note Domaine Chandon, which is part of our behind the scenes tour has multiple steps. Passengers may select to forego this sector of our day and rejoin the group for their tasting in the cellar door after the tour. Guests selecting not to climb stairs within the Domaine Chandon tour have access to the gardens and grounds.

Special needs – AWTC must be alerted to any special needs at the time of booking. This may include but not limited to disabilities, foreign language and dietary requirements. We may not be able to facilitate special requirements on the day if not requested and if not available on this tour. Wheelchair access vehicles are available on request, however extra vehicle and private touring charges apply.

What should I wear?

There is no dress code however under casual is not advised. Be advised that weather conditions can change throughout the day so a layered approach may be wise

Are vegetarians catered for with lunch?

Vegetarians and other dietary requirements such as gluten and dairy intolerances are catered for. Consult with your driver on the day of the tour

What is included in the price?

Our public tours include transport to and from the city in a deluxe vehicle, all wine tastings, a main meal in a winery restaurant served with matching glass of wine, tea & coffee and bread, a tour of Domaine Chandon followed by a glass of sparkling wine and an expert tour guide who will teach you how to taste wine and explain how sparkling wine is made and is available to answer any questions you may have throughout the day and ensure that you have the best possible experience of the Yarra Valley

What methods of payment do you accept?

Visa / Mastercard / Cash. For direct bookings we take a credit card as security for the booking (Visa / Mastercard). The card is not charged unless you cancel your booking outside our terms or you wish to use that as payment on the day you travel. We accept payment by Cash or Credit card on the day you travel. If you do not have a credit card you may book through one of our agents. Please phone our office on 03 9419 4444 for advice on your closest agent

Do you have translations in other languages?

We offer complimentary iPod’s that have pre recorded translations into Japanese, Mandarin and Cantonese. The iPod’s are on request and subject to availability, we require a form (retained by the driver and kept in a secure location) to be completed with credit card details as a guarantee they will be returned at the end of the tour

What time do we get back to the city?

Our tour returns to the City around 4:30 – 5pm

Can you pick me up from my Hotel?

Our Daily Public Tour – Yarra Valley Wine Experience does not offer hotel pickups as this could add up to an hour extra to your tour, especially if you are the first pick up and we know that you would rather enjoy more time out in the beautiful Yarra Valley. We offer 5 pickup locations which are conveniently located around the city within 5 minutes walk of most city hotels, see our maps for the most convenient location and departure time. Our Premium Wine Tours tours do have hotel pick up that will be designated to you at the time of booking
